VIDEO: New Pagani Huayra Filmed at a Small Italian Fair

Just in case youve forgotten about the brand-new Pagani Huayra, weve got hold of a few new videos for your viewing pleasure. Horacio Paganis latest creation was recently spotted on display at the Motori e Sapori, a small county fair that took place in Italy. According to Youtube user Marchetinno, the matte silver car you see here is not the final production model but the PT4, as in Prototype 4, and it will allegedly be used as a testing mule for future special edition versions. Watch the walkaround videos after the break.

Pagani Huayra Live from the Geneva Motor Show, Plus First Promo Videos

It's quite difficult to imagine that the beautiful, spine tingling Pagani Zonda has been around for over ten years. Mr. Horacio Pagani graced our eyes in 1999 with a 7.0 AMG sourced V12 masterpiece with a steampunk style interior. Its beautiful form, angry looks and frightening performance turned it into a modern exotic classic not seen since the earlier years of motoring. But time has come for Pagani to introduce the Zonda's successor in the form of the brand-new Huayra that made its world premiere today at the 2011 Geneva Salon.

When Pagani unleashed the first photos its hypercar named after a South American god of wind, there seemed to be a bit of negative feedback. Many did not enjoy the looks of the wide bottom feeder mouth and oddly set rear tail lights. As with many cases of change, acceptance has seemed to slowly set in. The car looks much better under the radiant spotlights of the Geneva floor.

PAGANI Zonda R (2009)

A Pagani Zonda is never shy of a drive at the racetrack, a fact that was undermined numerous times in the past with records for production vehicles at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. With the input of its avid track focused customers, the Pagani team has created the Zonda R using bespoke engineering solutions to meet the performance demands for a trackday version of the highly popular Zonda F.

The central monocoque is made of a Carbon-Titanium composite, increasing rigidity while reducing significantly the weight. Bolted directly to the chassis is the Mercedes AMG 6.0 litre race derived V12 engine, with 750 hp and 710 Nm of torque. A direct throttle actuation via mechanical cable ensures immediate throttle response.

The Xtrac Magnesium cased dog ring gearbox combined with tha Automac Engineering AMT system performs gearshifts in 20ms, triggered by the drivers input on the paddles behind the steering wheel. A 12-way Bosch Motorsport traction control and ABS system allows the driver to fully adjust the settings while driving the Zonda R.

At the pits, each driver will be able to find a suitable setup thanks to a fully adjustable suspension and wing configuration. The effectiveness of the rear is matched by a complex new front bonnet, a masterpiece realised with the help of models by Ennegi, as well as the closed underbody and rear diffusor. Aerodynamic setups rage from a high downforce setting of 1.500kg to a 350kmh top speed setting.

Aspa forged AvionAl suspension components as well as machined structural ErgAl parts holding the engine and gearbox have been designed to reduce the weight of the overall car, Poggipolini Titanium screws are used on the whole car. These measures lead to a dry weight of 1,070 kg.

The interior has been designed to offer a perfect environment for the driver. The controls are limited to the indispensable, but the quality finish reflects the usual demanding Pagani standards. The bespoke Toora seats are FIA homologated and comply to latest HANS standards, five-point safety belts and a CrMo roll-cage assure the occupants safety.

The lucky owners of the Zonda R will experience a level of performance on the track, that is simply not possible on the road. A power-to-weight ratio of 701 hp-per-ton will catapult them from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2,7 seconds, the Brembo carbon ceramic brakes ensure the car comes to a standstill even quicker.

The Zonda R is built in a limited production run and sold at a price of 1.460.000 Euro plus taxes, a performance machine, a track toy, a collectors item, a masterpiece signed by Horacio Pagani

PAGANI Zonda Cinque (2009)

PAGANI Zonda Cinque

The 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque is a super special limited edition--as in only five (5) of these ridiculous Italian sports cars will be produced. Italian supercar maker Pagani has had a hit with the handbuilt Zonda series, which are so exclusive that they are selling for far more than their greater-than-$1 million base price.

The 2009 Zonda Cinque flies, with a Mercedes AMG-sourced engine crammed into an ultralight body made of carbon-titanium fiber, a material developed in conjunction with Pagani just for the Zonda Cinque. Weight savings and drivetrain refinements allow the Zonda Cinque to rocket from 0-100 km/hr (62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds, faster than... almost anything.

No word on whether the five limited-edition 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque supercars are accounted for, but don't bet on getting one. The price? A cool 1 million Euros. Plus tax.

PAGANI Zonda R (2008)

PAGANI Zonda R (2008)

Despite the fact that fewer than 100 cars have been built by Pagani since the Zonda C12 was introduced in 1999, its cars have been well known and dreamed about in the enthusiast community. Wild, race-bred looks wrapped around an interior second only to one crafted by God himself are the name of the game for the small Italian firm. It's a Ferrari Enzo except even more psychotic. That is, until last year when Ferrari debuted the FXX track car to be sold in low volume to hand-picked buyers for over $2,000,000. The Zonda R Clubsport is the answer to that car.

Power for the Zonda R comes from a 7.3-liter V-12 sourced from the AMG shop at Mercedes-Benz. Output is a dizzying 750 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque. And as with other Paganis, exhaust gasses are released through four pipes arranged in a square in the center of the car's rear. Between the body, the giant rear wing, and the countless spoilers and diffusers, there's enough carbon fiber on this car to slow up NASA space shuttle construction for months. And while it appears that those spoilers are responsible for 100 percent of the increase in overall length, the Zonda R's wheelbase is actually slightly longer than other models. Pagani hasn't announced a price for the R yet, but frankly, we don't even want to know. We just want a ride.
